British Columbia Poker Championships 2011

Of the poker series hosted in major Canadian cities, the British Columbia Poker Championships (BCPC) is one of the best. Run by the River Rock Casino Resort which is located in Richmond, British Columbia, BCPC has been a yearly event since 2005.

One of the most popular holdem poker download for Canadians is the William Hill download. The William Hill poker download is the most trusted European and UK poker brand on the internet!

Daniel Negreanu won the Main Event of the BCPC back in 2008 for $371,910. That was the year the PokerStars download ran satellites to the big tourney, and quite a few well known professionals showed up for it.

Since 2008 the series hasn’t grown in popularity, but it still gets a great field. This year PlayNow.com (the download free poker site for British Columbia) will probably run satellites to it.

Between October 25th and November 9th there will be four events. The first event of the series is a bounty event, costing $550 to enter and featuring a maximum field of 528. The estimated prize pool is $237,600. This is a four day event and the final day is scheduled to wrap up on October 28th.

The $1.1k No Limit Hold’em Event is next, featuring an estimated prize pool of $550k. This is a 2-day event scheduled for October 30th and 31st.

The Main Event is also capped at 550 people (plus alternates), but it features a buy-in of $3,000. The prize pool is estimated at $1,485,000. This event will span 4 days beginning on November 2nd and ending on November 5th.

The end of the series has a high roller event for the high stakes players out there. It starts on November 7th and goes until November 9th and the entry fee is $5,000. With a 176 maximum field, the estimated prize pool is a healthy $809,600.
